Experienced managed services professional appointed to director role that adds further strength to the leadership team and focus on customer experience
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – 22 OCTOBER 2010 – Star, a provider of on-demand computing and communication services to UK businesses, has today announced the appointment of Marion Stewart as the company’s Customer Solutions Director. As a member of the leadership team, Marion will be responsible for translating Star’s strategy and technology platform investments into next generation utility computing solutions for small-to-medium sized UK businesses. Marion will establish strategy, direction and policy while executing on Star’s business plan and vision to make business technology easy to use and pay for, while engineering her operational teams to be best placed to provide a complete customer experience of the highest quality.
In her new role as Customer Solutions Director, Marion will report directly to CEO Ricky Hudson and will be based in the company’s head office in Theale, Reading. Marion will focus on ensuring the technical integrity and commercial viability of customer solutions, as well as continually developing the customer delivery and service team’s skills and capabilities. The operational teams reporting into Marion include 70 technical and customer service employees. She will have responsibility for scoping and defining customer delivery for all new services but will also give focus to maintaining, and monitoring the integrity and customer experience of existing customers.
Marion has over 10 years experience in leading bid and solution development for managed services providers in both the public and private sectors. Prior to her role at Star, she held a long-term position at SAVVIS as Strategic Relationship Director, where she achieved growing sales bookings year on year and four years as EMEA Customer Solutions Director, managing bid strategy, solutions design, implementation and ongoing service delivery.
